Four Day Handgun Course – Response

Dear Dr. Piazza,
My name is Nolan and first of all I want to thank you for putting together the best firearm training program ever! My wife and I enjoyed taking your four day handgun course last May. I also want to congratulate you on “putting your money where your mouth is”. When your latest email came out about getting each membership for $700 if you look at it that way, my friends at work and I all started to talk and figure out how we can make this happen.
My wife’s cousin and two very close personal friends of mine are part of the Army Reserves in Oregon. They are scheduled for a second rotation over seas, most likely Iraq starting in June. The story you passed on about troops not getting enough training is right on. My friend Jim who is the company First Sergeant, complained a couple of months ago that he only had been given enough ammo for each soldier to have ONE magazine of ammo for qualifying. They would take the guys that were better shots, have them qualify and take the left over rounds and pass them down the line to the guys that were bad shots so they might end up with almost two mags a piece!
I agree that this is unacceptable.
I’m sure I can get five other friends together to each “buy in” and pitch in for the 7th membership to give away. Thanks for your time and efforts.
