Dr. Piazza,
I enjoyed reading the letter from Col. Grossman. In the analogy of a ranch, I would be a sheepdog and have been for 34 and a half years. I started shooting pistol ( 9mm Browning Hi Power) with a Field Ambulance unit in 1974 in inter unit competitions. My career is coming to an end and I expect one more tour, perhaps Afganistan, to come my way before my contract is up. I am currently awaiting delivery of a Springfield Armoury .45 “Loaded” model full size to add to my collection. I’ve read most of your E-letters and agree with much of what you say. I have come to similar conclusions about methods and techniques over the last 25 years or so. I have my Black Badge in IPSC (Canada) and though not actively competing for the last few years due to a very high deployment tempo I try to get to the range as often as possible. Best of luck to you and your company. May you educate and save many more servicemen and civilians with your training.
Phil
