First off – WOW!
I am amazed at how all the pieces (of preparedness) fell into place for this man. How long had he been carrying for protection of himself and family and at age 70 had the weapon available at the crucial time? I hurt for the man for having to experience the situation, but he and his wife are ALIVE to experience it. Using the heart attack scenario probably took focus and attention off his hand reaching for the weapon. I am so glad to see law abiding citizens prevail over criminals trying to take what doesn’t belong to them. If the young men had made better choices, they would be alive and our law abiding citizens would not have to feel sadness for their lives.
I hope more people become prepared to protect themselves and take the criminal by SURPRISE!
