Response to Monday Blog Post – Extermination or Explusion only Possible after Disarmament
June 29th, 2009
Dr. Piazza,
This is a follow up to your post about “Gun Control Has Killed 170 Million People”. We don’t have to look beyond our borders to find further evidence of your point.
Missouri established selective gun control in 1833 by forceably disarming the Mormon settlers. This culminated in the imprisonment of the Mormon leaders, a genuine massacre of Mormon settlers at Haun’s Mill, and the issuance of an inhumane extermination order from the Governor of Missouri authorizing the expulsion or extermination of Mormons: “the Mormons must be treated as enemies, and must be exterminated or driven from the State.”
Subsequently, over 10,000 people were driven from their homes in the dead of winter.
