Response from Veteran Cop about Quality of Gun Training
September 2nd, 2009
Dr. Piazza,
Received #14 and thought it was perfect, as all of your reports have been.
Twenty one years as a Philadelphia Police Officer and they didn’t teach me diddlysquat about shooting, except to qualify. Nothing tactical. Very boring. However eight years with Pennsylvania State Parole and I think some of our DFO’s must have attended your school. A awful lot of what I am hearing from you sounds very familiar. That’s why I know your school is the real deal. I’ve been retired from parole for four years now and I know a lot of what used to be second nature to me probably isn’t there anymore, and if it is there, it is very rusty.
When I was with parole, I knew that I could perform in most situations if need be. But I don’t feel that way now. Your school is just what I need. You have been sending me some very good offers and some of them are really unbelievably terrific.
Believe me when I tell you that you don’t have to convince me about the caliber of your school. I can tell from what I have read about the course that it is top shelf; I have no doubt about that. I just have to figure out how to swing this thing. But keep the information coming; I enjoy it. I just wish you were located in New Jersey or Pennsylvania. Then it would be a nobrainer.
