Front Sight Mail Bag: I Had Reservations…
May 23rd, 2013
Dear Dr. Piazza,
This being the first class that I have attended there was some reservations as to what to expect. After checking in and reporting to the first shooting range and seeing that the makeup of the group was from a 16 year old boy, a lady that had never held a gun and appeared to be scared and uncertain in her ability to use the weapon to an older gentlemen 75-80 yrs. I would guess.
I thought to myself a person that has been shooting handguns all of my life what I was going to get from the course. One of the things that impressed me the most was how a group of 34 students on the same range with such a difference in student skill sets could end up with such a positive outcome. I think the lady that had never touched a gun probably walked away with the most improvement, at the end of the class she could draw and make a head shot not all of time, but what an improvement from day one. My wife left the course with a better understanding of how to safely handle her weapon and more confidence in her shooting abilities. I walked away a better shooter under time pressure and a different combat mindset, not only would I go again, I transferred one of my extra memberships to a friend and will be returning in April to attend the class again. Thanks Dr. Piazza for a great experience.
