Front Sight Will Train America’s Politicians to Defend Themselves with a Concealed Handgun

Once again, in the aftermath of a mass shooting, there is a call for more gun control and the creation of an even greater police state in Washington, DC.

This time the mass shooter didn’t attack a school of helpless children or a movie theater filled with innocent victims. Instead, he choose to shoot up a bunch of politicians playing baseball. That’s a new wrinkle on America’s favorite pastime.

As Representative, Brad Wenstrup, Republican from Ohio stated after the shooting, “If Scalise was not there, he’s the one with the security detail, we wouldn’t have had any protection and God knows how bad that might have been.”

Majority Whip Steve Scalise, a Republican from Louisiana had his security detail with him and they returned fire to fatally stop the gunman. Note, they did not PREVENT the shooting. They STOPPED the shooter once he started his attack.

So how is more gun control going to stop politicians from getting shot? It won’t stop politicians from getting shot any more than it will stop school children or theaters patrons from getting shot. In fact, just the opposite effect will occur. When you remove guns from the law abiding, the balance of power on the street shifts from the law abiding to the criminal. The reason why these cowards choose schools and crowded movie theaters is they are confident, due to laws preventing the carry of concealed weapons in those locations, that there will not be an armed citizen to stop them.

Well how about more security details for ALL politicians. Sure, why not? Just add the cost to the tax burden of every American, or should I say the 45% of Americans who pay ALL the taxes.

Do you think a security detail for EVERY politician in America will stop a deranged gunman from shooting a lawmaker? NOPE. Security details did not stop the killing of John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, or the attempted assassination of President Reagan.

Now that lawmakers have been attacked and understand what Joe and Mary Public understand about the need, or may I be so bold to say, the God-given right to self-protection against violent criminals, perhaps we can finally do something that WILL ACTUALLY WORK to make ALL Americans safer, even politicians.

It is time to loosen the restriction on concealed carry in every state and all locations.

The law abiding; not criminals and lunatics, are the people who voluntarily apply for concealed carry permits and take the responsibility upon themselves to attend the safety training courses required for a concealed carry permit. These are our BEST, MOST RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS and act as the first line of defense against violent crime. They should be allowed to propagate across the country and walk unrestricted.

If more politicians understood this concept, they would know that America is safer when our best citizens are armed and trained. Statistics have already proven that those states with the most concealed carry permit holders, have the lowest violent crime rates, and conversely, those states with the most restrictive gun control have the highest violent crime rates.

I believe the only reason politicians don’t embrace concealed carry in every state is they have never actually rubbed elbows with the real people who carry concealed.

I believe if politicians were trained to carry a concealed handgun, and in the process of their training, also met the responsible, law-abiding citizens who take it upon themselves to be America’s first line of defense against violent criminals, lunatics and terrorists, there would not be any political hesitation at all in propagating concealed carry across the land.

I don’t just believe it, I will put my money where my mouth is and I will PROVE it!

I will train ANY lawmaker free of charge to responsibly and safely carry a concealed handgun to protect themselves and those around them. I will provide a Front Sight Four Day Defensive Handgun Course plus 30 State CCW Course absolutely free of charge.

In the process, every politician who trains with us will see 400-500 or more responsible, law-abiding citizens training together in perfect harmony, to levels that exceed law enforcement and military standards, in a safe, comfortable, friendly environment.

All they have to do is choose a course date, print out and complete the Application for Training, and mail it in with a request for the Four Day Defensive Handgun Course plus 30 State Concealed Weapon Permit Course on their government letter head.
