Front Sight Mailbag: Feedback from a 23 Time Front Sight Student

Dear Dr, Piazza,
I’ve been to Front Sight 23 time over the last 8 years. I thought about writing, but never got around to it. What inspired me this time was the most recent Two-Day Advanced Tactical Handgun course. I will say without any doubt it was the best course I have attended; solely due to the instructors. Both of these guys are keepers. Their professionalism, knowledge, and personality were the best I’ve ever experienced at Front Sight. He maintained our squad’s safety and our scenarios impeccably. The various scenarios at the bays were a huge learning curve for me. Going in with a loaded firearm and shooting at bad guys is one thing, worrying about my hits, misses, and everything I did wrong before I even did. The red gun scenarios and the thought process that these instructors promoted in my brain was astonishing. It’s been a week now and I’m still rolling that newly acquired knowledge around in my head.
